PROGRAM 2nd SESSION HOW TO MAKE LIQUID SOAP LOCALLY FOR USE AT HOME AND INCOME GENERATION MATERIALS, QUANTITY AND USES Material Quantity Use Sulphonic Acid ½ kg Kills germs Urea 6 spoons full Reaction in the soap Ungalo 1kg Used to form lather Caustic soda 6 spoons full Reduces on the reaction of acid Sodium triphosphate 6 spoons full Reduces on the reaction of acid colour 1 tin Make the soap look attractive perfume 15mls Make the soap attractive with a nice aroma Soda Ash 1 spoon full Stain remover Industrial Salt 1kg preservative MATERIALS AND THERE USES IN LIQUID • Sulphonic Acid Add 1/2kg kills germs Sulphonic Acid is an organic acid which neutralizes the basic effect of Caustic soda or sodium Hydroxide It’s used to kill germs. Ungaroll. This is used to form lather in the liquid soap. It looks like porridge When making liquid soap of 20 litter Jeri can one only adds one kilogram of ungalo Urea . Add 6 spoons full These are big visible particles • Caustic soda 6 table spoons. Reduces on the reaction of acid • Sodium triphosphate Add 6 table spoons.
